About Bluerain Cats
Hello and welcome to Bluerain british shorthair cats. We primarily breed black silver spotty and tabby but also may occasionally have blues or blue spotties. Our aim is to breed quality kittens who are well socialised and good examples of the breed.
We hope you enjoy your visit and please feel free to contact us as we are always happy to try to help or answer any questions about the cats that we breed. (My husband would suggest leaving plenty of time if you phone as he says “hind legs and donkey” spring to mind!!)
Bluerain cats are pets first and foremost. We like to show our cats but only those that are amenable as their health and wellbeing is our utmost priority.
Our cat family live in the house with us and also have access to a secure garden area where they can sunbathe and chase flies!
Our girls only have one litter a year to ensure they are kept in the best of health and to ensure that we have plenty of time to spend with the kittens. We have taken the decision to retire our stud boys as they prefer pet life so in future our girls will be going out for romance!
Kittens are raised within our home, they are cuddled and played with from an early age to ensure that they are well socialised. They are used to a busy household environment and an old and somewhat cranky dog! Kittens are all registered with GCCF, vet checked and fully vaccinated before leaving for their new homes.
We welcome visitors whether we have kittens or not to meet our family for those interested in meeting the breed.
Bluerain is a registered prefix with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF). We are members of the Southern British Shorthair Cat Club (SBSCC) and the West of England & South Wales Cat Society.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those breeders that have entrusted us with their cats and for all the support and advice we have received.
